In 2005 ambulance headquarters moved from the Company One Firehouse on Barton Hill to a new facility at 4 Middletown Avenue (Rt. 16). Our EMTs are state and/or nationally certified, have completed the required 150+ hour course and passed a rigorous written and practical exam. Each of our certified EMRs has completed a 100+ hour course and passed written and practical exams. All members are CPR certified and are trained in the use of automatic defibrillators.
Since 1987 the EHAA has been able to call upon the services of the Middlesex Hospital paramedic units for Advanced Life Support treatments. We have also been able to utilize Lifestar helicopters from area hospitals for rapid transport since 1985.
The Association is a private, non-profit organization that is funded by patient billing and donations.
